Sehr geehrte Dame, sehr geehrter Herr,
… Die Gestalt Jesu ist nach wie vor ein ungelöstes Rätsel und eine spannende Aufgabe für die neutestamentliche Wissenschaft.
Ich habe mich bemüht, das Projekt des historischen Jesus als ein historisches Projekt, ein wissenschaftliches, vernunftbasiertes Projekt durchzuführen, das wissenschaftlich sachlich und wertneutral der Suche nach den historischen Anfängen des Christentums dient. Mein Ziel ist es insbesondere, den skeptischen Christen und den kirchenfernen Zeitgenossen die Entstehung der christlichen Religion plausibel verständlich zu machen.
Meine Frage an Sie:
Kann man unter Theologen ein Gespräch über meine Thesen führen oder sehen Sie in meinen neutralen Ausführungen, wie manche Ihrer Kollegen, nur einen neuerlichen, einen atheistischen Angriff auf das Christentum?
Wenn es darüber hinaus Ihre Zeit erlauben würde, auf die eine oder andere These näher einzugehen, sei es ablehnend, skeptisch oder gern auch zustimmend, würde ich mich sehr freuen. …
