Meine Antwort auf die Frage, ob das Urchristentum
eine notwendige Vernunftwahrheit oder eine zufällige Geschichtswahrheit ist, geht zurück auf die Lösung, die 1900 Jahre lang im Christentum favorisiert wurde. Den biblischen Autoren ist die freischwebende Gottheit (Gott als der “ganz andere”) der protestantischen Theologie nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg fremd. Für sie ist Gott immer bezogen auf die Welt und auf die menschliche Geschichte.
Das Urchristentum sieht sich selbst fest verbunden mit der Zeit, in der Jesus und die Apostel auftraten. Deshalb werden die jüdischen Herrscher, die römischen Statthalter und die Kaiser namentlich genannt. Deshalb wird Bezug genommen auf astronomische Erscheinungen wie den Stern von Bethlehem (große Konjunktion 7 v. Chr.) und den Wechsel des Frühjahrssternbildes.
Das Urchristentum ist überzeugt, dass Gott Mensch wurde, und zwar in der frühen römischen Kaiserzeit, in der historischen Person Jesus (Johannes-Prolog). Die Theologie ist auf dem Holzweg, wenn sie versucht, aus Jesus einen Mythos zu machen (Bultmann), aus dem Stern von Bethlehem eine Legende und aus dem neuen Zeitalter, das mit Jesus und den Jüngern begann, eine religiöse Phantasie.
