d. Das Paradiesgärtlein: Nach Gen 3,23f werden die zur Sünde verführten Menschen aus dem Paradies vertrieben. So verfahren,
um es einmal salopp zu sagen, die Bibelwissenschaften. Die Wissenschaften, die unschuldig wie die Pflanzen und Tiere das Schöpfungswerk Gottes befördern, also dem Glauben dienen, sind im Paradiesgarten der Bibelwissenschaften gern gesehen.
Die atheistischen Wissenschaften aber, die den Verlockungen der Schlange nicht widerstehen können, von den Früchten des Baums der Erkenntnis essen (Vers 5f) und die Blößen der Bibelwissenschaften aufdecken, finden sich aus dem Paradiesgarten ausgeschlossen.

Die Lösung 2a, 2b und 2c gehen davon aus, dass es zwei Wirklichkeitsbereiche gibt, deren Verhältnis zueinander geordnet werden muss. Die theoretische Lösung 2a sagt: Beide Bereiche kommen von Gott, müssen also wieder zu Gott hinführen, deshalb kann eine Synthese gelingen.
Die praktische Lösung 2b lässt das Verhältnis beider Bereiche offen. Die theoretische Lösung 2c ist für die Wissenschaften brauchbar, klammert aber bestimmte Bereiche der Lebenswirklichkeit aus. Die praktische Lösung 2d schüttet das Kind mit dem Bade aus, sie vertreibt mit dem atheistischen Wissenschaften auch die Mahner, die den Finger auf die bibelwissenschaftlichen Blößen legen.
Als theoretische Lösung klammert 2d die atheistischen Wissenschaften von der Lösung des Welträtsels aus und versucht die Synthese allein mit den bibelkonformen Wissenschaften. Diese Idee ist aber – wie bekannt – zum Scheitern verurteilt.
